Mushroom Wallpaper
When I was living in New Hampshire, there was a forest behind my apartment building that was heavy in mushrooms, especially during the rainy season. I would often go out with my camera and take photographs. I don't know what the majority of the mushrooms were, but I did know that the majority of them were poisonous. I never touched any of them, and the couple of times I broght professional mushroom foragers with me, they insisted on bringing latex gloves with them in case they wanted to touch any of them.
I got lucky enough with some of these photos that I was able to make wallpaper out of them. If I ever get the opportunity to go foraging for mushrooms again, you can be sure I'll have my camera with me. If you ever get the opportunity, please be safe. Never handle a wild mushroom that you're not familiar with, especially with bare hands. If you decide to pick mushrooms, please get the correct training first, or bring somebody with you that is fully trained. Some mushrooms, such as the famed Destroying Angel are extremely toxic, and can be one of the most painful ways to die.
I wish I knew enough about mushrooms to tell you what each of these are, but I don't. If anyone out there can give me information so that I can label these, please email me at joseph at thatworks dot com. In the meantime, please enjoy the photos.
